Meet Laura, the visionary founder and CEO of Marryment as well as a top-notch wedding planner. With a decade of experience in project and change management, Laura's journey to becoming a pioneering force in the wedding industry ignited in 2017. After “falling in love” with weddings, she took officiating, catering, and bartending jobs to stay involved with the fast-paced and demanding industry. Laura appeared on season 7 of “The Blox”, the largest entrepreneurship competition on television. This is where Marryment turned from an idea into a reality. Laura's journey is a testament to her unwavering commitment to innovation and excellence. With her visionary leadership, she continues to transform dreams into reality, one wedding at a time, leaving a trail of joy and unforgettable memories in her wake. When she is not at a wedding or taking the industry by storm, you will find her spending quality time with her husband, daughter and two black cats.
Meet Amethyst, our Director of Operations and one of our dedicated Wedding Planners! With nine years of experience working as a wedding coordinator for a local church, Amethyst fell in love with the entire planning process while planning her own wedding in 2022. She is passionate about working closely with couples to craft a wedding day that truly reflects their love story. When she is not immersed in the magical world of happily-ever-after, she enjoys spending time with her best friend (her cat) Salem! She also loves hosting game night, brewing up new latte recipes, karaoke in all contexts and daydreaming about Fall.
Meet Claire, one of our incredible wedding planners! Claire joins us with over 10 years of hospitality experience. She has held positions such as; pastry chef, wine steward, and events manager, now officially adding Wedding Planner to the list! While working on the venue-side of the industry, Claire always found herself gravitating towards weddings and large events. She prides herself on her attention to details and her ability to be a calm presence regardless of the situation at hand. Her favorite part of the wedding process is watching the couple's vision come to life and executing their wishes. Claire loves to travel, host cookbook club for her friends, and go on impromptu day trips with her husband when not making wedding day dreams come true.
Meet Denise, our Director of Planning and one of our talented Wedding Planners! Denise joined the Marryment team in 2023, bringing over seven years of wedding planning experience with her. Denise finds it incredibly fulfilling to help couples bring their wedding day visions to life. She is an expert timeline manager, dedicated to helping couples live in the moment without worrying about the clock. Her favorite part of a wedding is at the end of the night when everyone is dancing, mingling and basking in the joy of the celebration. When she isn’t planning a wedding, you will find her hard at work running her own permanent jewelry business, sipping on coffee and soaking up the sun with her Golden-Doodle, Nala, affectionately known as “Dude”.
Meet Savannah, one of our wonderful wedding planners! Savannah got her start in the wedding industry as a wedding planning assistant when she was a teenager. Since then, she has worked in catering, decor, planning, and venue management, priding herself in her vast amount of knowledge in almost every aspect of wedding planning! Though planning a wedding can feel stressful, Savannah enjoys being able to take that stress off of her couple’s plates! To her, the most important part of the job is making sure her clients are able to really enjoy their big day and don’t get lost in the stress and details leading up to their event.
We consider multiple factors such as the location of your wedding, planner availability, venue familiarity and cultural considerations. As an additional service option, you are welcome to choose the planner you want to work with (availability permitting).
